Power Saving for the Office Worker

So here is what i heard,
1 search query in google uses enough energy to light up a 60 Watt Bulb for 30 seconds.
The total searched done on google for 10 minutes could power up Las Vegas for 30 Minutes

Try using http://www.blackle.com/ it helps by changing the default layout to black, hence reducing the amount of power consumed by your monitor.
It displays below the amount of power you are saving.

Now as i say this you must be thinking if you switched off your machine at the office?? Come on shut it down. Powering it back up will take you 2 minutes. Umm im not sure what the time is if you are using windows but im sure it cant be more that 5.

Oh i was just notified, you dont have to shut down your comp at work but just put it onto Hibernate. You dont have to loose any work, boots up faster, saves you all the trouble but saves out some power.

Hey its either Turn off your comp at Work or Stop using Goole :P
